I have just received a consultants report concerning the redevelopment of a Petrol Filling Station for Housing use. The report states that the Dutch Intervention Standard for Mineral Oil 50mg/kg is "known to be very stringent and it is our experience that a level of 500mg/kg is acceptable to the Environment Agency and local EHO's."
Does anyone have any experience of this? I have tried searching the net and come up with figures in the states which range from 10-600mg/kg?

Thanks
