Lecturer (Level B Continuing, full time) in Applied Philosophy


The Philosophy Program in the School of Communication, Arts and
Critical Enquiry at La Trobe University is seeking to make a full time
Level B appointment in Applied Philosophy. The appointee will
develop and teach two subjects: one in Professional Ethics and one in
Media Ethics. In addition the appointee will contribute to other
teaching areas of the Program and engage in research.

Qualifications: Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent, teaching
and research interest in applied ethics, publications in ethics or
applied ethics, and evidence of good teaching ability at tertiary
level. Teaching strength in another area of philosophy, preferably
epistemology, metaphysics or philosophy of science, will be an
advantage.

Remuneration package of $56,877 to $67,541 per annum, which
includes 17% employer superannuation.
