The Robens Centre for Health Ergonomics at the University of Surrey is currently preparing a set of case studies relating to the musculoskeletal health of those involved in the cleaning industry, with a view to reducing the problem and giving examples of best practice. It became apparent from a 2 year study and a workshop within the cleaning industry that there is a need and a large audience for improved guidance in the cleaning industry for supervisors, managers, health and safety personnel and employers. I would be very interested in hearing about examples of good practise within the cleaning industry that you are aware of or have been involved in implementing.
