I read __Timeline__ and enjoyed it as fiction, once I swallowed the sci-fi time travel business. I'm even willing to accept some of what Crighton says about the plague, since he does have medical credentials. But I didn't recognize much accuracy when he was talking about monasteries -- or warfare, for that matter.
