Dear colleague,

This is to invite you to participate at the ICALT 2001 panel discussions.

ICALT,  the "IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies
(ICALT 2001)", will take place between 6-8 August 2001, in Madison, Wi, USA.

We have the following panel chairs and panel themes. You can join any of the
FIRST TWO panels below as panelist.

1. The Integration of TV and the Internet
Panel Chair: Chris O'Hagan, University of Derby, United Kingdom
(Accepting panelists)

2. Factors Effected to Japan and Thailand Students in Science and Technology Project
Panel Chair: Ravewan Shinatrakool, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand
(Accepting panelists)

3. Agents  believability and embodiment in advanced learning environments
Panel Chair: Anton Nijholt, University of Twente, The Netherlands
(Call for panelists CLOSED)

4. Collaborative Context-Mediated Experiential Learning Through Asynchronous Learning Networks
Panel Chair: Elspeth McKay, RMIT, Australia
(Call for panelists CLOSED)



DEADLINES:
    (1) panelist proposals: 9 March 2001
           You will receive the reviewing result around the 23 March 2001.
    (2) author registration deadline: 13 April 2001
    (3) final, camera-ready paper deadline: 20 April 2001
          (paper which has be formatted to conform to the conference paper
requirements, available at:  http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm).


PLEASE SUBMIT:
    (1) name, affiliation, full postal address, phone, fax, e-mail
    (2) Number (1 or 2) + Name of the panel you want to present in
    (3) Paper Title - corresponding to the panel discussion topic
    (4) Paper: 2 pages long; see format below;
    (5) a short CV (max.: half a page)
    (6) a short list of publications relevant to the discussion (max.: half a page)

The papers accepted for the panel discussion will be published in the conference
proceedings, and should follow the instructions of the IEEE CS Press:
 http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm

If you are interested in a panel, but don't want to present a paper yourself,
you can still join as a participant to the discussions.
