Hi Ann,
I'm a physio in Australia and I have Osgood-Schlatter myself.  As far as I
know u cant do much and strapping and padding doesnt work at all.  Basically
you have to limit activities with a lot of quad involvement and wait for the
ossification of the tibia to finish after that your tibial tuberosity is
going to be big but otherwise you are asymptomatic at least up to 38 years
of age.
