A comment on John Hunt's copyright issue. The standard OS licence for institutes of Higher Education does NOT permit the digitisation of maps where the OS already has a digital product available (part 5.2). Also NO digitising by outside firms is allowed (6.5). The copy of the licence that I have to hand is dated 1993.
