Hiya, Brian Stein wrote as follows, quoting from Judi Strud:

Another logical question is why don't we have confidence in the immune
system of healthy children. I am not aware of any studies that have
looked
at whether there is a better response to the childhood diseases from
strategies that strengthen the immune system compared to vaccination.

I am curious as to what these strategies might be: I dont know of any.<

May I offer a suggestion? Surely a good immune system relies on optimal
nutrition? I must admit that I have wondered whether immunisation schemes
were not an excuse for not doing more to improve basic living conditions
(good food, clean water, decent housing) for children (and adults)
everywhere? By immunising we are seen to be doing something, but perhaps
other interventions may be more effective (but also more
difficult/expensive) for general population health.

All the best, Lee
