To Hermann, I am so pleased you replied to Manas' question. Am I right that the stretching lineation parallels the fold axis in this case only because the max finite strain is in that direction (ie. not parallel to the fold limbs, as it might have been)? I am curious, in your experience, have you even known an interference fold of this kind to produce a cleavage?
