UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE TRANSPORT OPERATIONS RESEARCH GROUP RESEARCH ASSOCIATE An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and ambitious researcher to join this leading research group located in a 5* department. The successful candidate will join a team working in the field of passenger transport policy and will work on two EC-funded projects, one concerned with the development of survey techniques for the analysis of long-distance travel behaviour, the other with the analysis of the socio-economic impacts of investment in transport infrastructure. The post would particularly suit someone with an interest in travel behaviour and / or public transport but candidates with expertise in other areas of transport studies are welcome to apply. The post is available immediately and appointment will be for 15 months (in the first instance) at an appropriate point on the RA1B scale (stlg17,278 - stlg19,293).
