With apologies for cross-posting, please note the vacancy below: LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN STATISTICS £17,913 - £25,587/£24,732 - £31,557 (Dependent upon qualifications and experience) Based in the Statistics and Operational Research Group in the School of Mathematical and Information Sciences. The Statistics and O.R. Group comprises 14 academics with interests ranging over applications in business, industry, medicine, health and horticulture. You will contribute to service teaching as well as mainstream modules in Statistics or Operational Research within the Mathematical Sciences programme. The research interests of the group include heuristic methods from pattern recognition, network analysis, medical statistics and education research. There is considerable activity in developing online teaching materials (especially in Excel) aimed at enhancing the learning experience of students. Experience in business or medical statistics would be welcome but candidates in any field of Statistics or O.R. are encouraged to apply. Applicants should hold a good honours degree, or equivalent, in Statistics or Operational Research or a related area; and ideally be research-active with experience of the application of Statistics or O.R., although this is not essential. You will possess the interpersonal skills that will enable you to work well with colleagues, students and outside contacts.
