Educational and Staff Development QUALITY ENHANCEMENT ADVISER Queen Mary, University of London, has an established reputation for the high quality of its teaching and support for student learning. We wish to strengthen our position further through the appointment of a Quality Enhancement Adviser who will be involved in new initiatives to be co-ordinated by Educational and Staff Development working in partnership with the Quality Assurance Unit. The person appointed will work across medical and non-medical areas of the College and will have experience Subject/Academic Review methodology and systems for evaluation of teaching. S/he will provide focused, coherent support to departments going through review procedures. This post will be of interest to staff and educational development professionals in the sector and those working on quality issues in higher education. Others in academic or related roles, who may be seeking to progress their careers in this important and expanding area, may also be attracted to this post. We are looking for someone educated to at least first degree level (in any discipline) with three or more years relevant work experience. The post is available for 2½ years from 1 May 2001, or as soon as possible thereafter with a salary in the range £28,350 to £33,101 annum inclusive.
