Dear SPM community:

I have a methodology question about segmenting gray matter, white matter and
CSF on MRI images.

I have used SPM99 in Medx to create grey, white, CSF matter probability
maps. Then I arbitrarily chose a
"threshold" of 60% probability and binarized those voxels with 60%
probability of being grey matter, white matter or CSF.

Is this a valid method, compared to something like FSL? Does anyone know of
any publications that validate this method?

Regards
