APOLOGIES IF YOU HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED THIS MSG FROM OSWALD
HUBER
----------------------------------------------------------

Dear friend,
I want to focus your attention on a new potential outlet for your work - a
new psychological journal named EXPERIMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY. In fact, the
journal has been published for nearly 50 years in German (Zeitschrift fur
Experimentelle Psychologie). I am one of the editors since about ten years,
and I am very glad that finally the journal is transformed into an English
one.
I am personally keen to see also work on decision making and related fields
to be published in EXPERIMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY.
Therefore, I ask you to consider submitting your papers to EXPERIMENTAL
PSYCHOLOGY, if you have good experimental ones. I attach a file with
information about the journal and the submission procedure
[THIS IS PASTED IN BELOW -- LISTOWNER].
I hope to meet you at one of the upcoming conferences!
Best regards
Oswald Huber

EXPERIMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a new international journal entitled
Experimental Psychology and to invite submission of manuscripts for
it. As its title implies, Experimental Psychology will publish
experimental research in psychology. The journal welcomes manuscripts
that report innovative, original, high-quality experimental research.
The scope of the journal is defined by the experimental method, and
thus, papers based on experiments from all areas of psychology are
invited. To name just a few typical fields and domains of inquiry, we
are interested in experimental work on human action, perception,
learning, language, memory, thinking, problem-solving, decision-making
and judgment, social cognition, and neuropsychological aspects of
these topics.

A major goal of Experimental Psychology is to provide a particularly
fast outlet for such research. As detailed below, this goal will be
achieved through a variety of measures. In particular, we will rely
heavily on the fast electronic exchange of information, beginning with
the electronic submission of manuscripts, throughout the entire
review process and also for proofing.

Categories of Papers

All papers are to be submitted electronically.

Research articles comprise the normal category of papers. They may
contain up to 10,000 words including tables and references, and up to
six figures. It is our goal to come to an editorial decision on
research articles within six weeks.

Theoretical articles provide evaluative summaries of actual research,
integrative accounts of ongoing research programs, or presentations
of innovative theories and models for experimental psychology; they
may also focus on methodological issues relevant for experimental
psychologists. Theoretical articles are not limited in size, but not
more than one such article will be published per issue. In addition,
the review process may require more time than that for research
articles.

 Manuscript Submission

Submissions are accepted only in electronic format via e-mail to
[log in to unmask] The following formats are accepted:

·	pdf (portable document format)
·	ps (postscript)
·	rtf (rich text format)
·	doc (Microsoft Word, version 6.0 and higher)
·	wpd (WordPerfect, version 7.0 and higher)

Most applications can save files in one of these formats.. Manuscripts
should be submitted as one file containing text, tables, and all
figures. The file should be named after the last name of the first
author, and its extension should designate its format; e.g., smith.doc
may be an appropriate file name. Microsoft Word or WordPerfect files
are preferred, and will be requested for the final version of the
manuscript.

The file should be an attachment to an e-mail in which

·	Contact information for the corresponding author is provided
(name, department, postal address, e-mail address, phone, fax),
·	As well as contact information for all other authors,
·	The type of manuscript submitted (theoretical article or
        research article) is specified,
·	The word count is given in the case of a research article,
·	A text version of the title and abstract is included
·	As well as any other information that may be important to
guarantee a fair and unbiased review process.

Submission of manuscripts is taken to imply that neither the
manuscript, nor any component of it, has already been published or is
currently under consideration by another journal. Submitted
manuscripts should conform to the APA guidelines for manuscript
preparation.

Review Process

Based on the title and abstract two or more reviewers will be
requested to review the manuscript. In the case of a research article,
the reviewers will be asked to complete their reviews within two to
maximally three weeks. The action editor will make his or her
editorial decision and will notify the corresponding author of the
decision usually within two workdays of receiving the reviewers'
feedbacks. There are only three kinds of decisions: Accept, accept
conditionally on minor changes, and reject. Rejected manuscripts can
be resubmitted after substantial revision, but they will be treated as
new manuscripts. The entire review process completely relies on
electronic communication in order to ensure speedy processing.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions can be ordered from the publisher, Hogrefe-Verlag,
Robert-Bosch-Breite 25, 37079 Goettingen, Germany.

Manuscripts should be submitted via e-mail to the Editor-in-Chief,
Karl Christoph Klauer, at [log in to unmask] Inquiries can also be
