Refresher Course in Statistics
(especially for psychologists and behavioural, social and medical
researchers)

A course for those with a basic knowledge of statistics.

Particularly suited to researchers and postgraduates who wish
to improve their competence and confidence in analysing data for surveys
and experiments. In computer sessions you will be running analyses on
SPSS Windows (ver 10), whilst the workshops will cover concepts and
interpretation.  Examples will be taken from current research projects.
You will be encouraged to bring your own data for discussion or analysis.
The course covers:

   ANOVA
   Simple Regression
   Multiple Regression
   SPSS
   Sample Size
   Introduction to logistic regression
   Graphs and tables

*David Boniface (statistician, medical researcher and author);
*Michaela Cottee (statistician and graduate psychologist);
*Andrew Bosi (statistician and data analyst)
*Neil Spencer (social statistician specialising in Research Methods).
