Can you: * speak for the UK's Science and Discovery Centres with politicians, civil servants, and potential sponsors from the charitable and corporate sectors? * develop and manage the business plan for an organisation which co-ordinates the efforts of 75 institutional members receiving more than 10 million visitors a year? * work on your own initiative to give a flying start to a new organisation, ECSITE-UK, the Science and Discovery Centre Network? If so, then you will be interested to know that ECSITE-UK, the Science and Discovery Centre Network, is seeking its first Executive Director. The position offers a unique opportunity for a suitably experienced person to lead this newly established body through its formative years. It is full-time, London-based, and is for a fixed term of 3 years in the first instance. Annual salary: £40k. The Network has core funding for 3 years from the DTI and the Wellcome Trust, which has been made available as grants to the British Association. The person to be appointed will be an employee of the BA.
