Yes, a report published by Transport 2000 claimed toxic emissions could lead
to increased cancer rates in those living near airports. It was published
in January 2001. I had a quick look at their web site, but it contains very
limited info. There are contact details though
(http://www.transport2000.org.uk/index.html).

However, the news source from where this info came mentioned that a study
carried out for the University of Surrey in 1998 has shown no significant
difference in the incidence of cancer in communities close to Heathrow
Airport.

Louise

Has anyone come across a study reportedly published this year on the
incidence of cancer and the proximity of airports?
Many thanks
Barbara
