Yes, a report published by Transport 2000 claimed toxic emissions could lead to increased cancer rates in those living near airports. It was published in January 2001. However, the news source from where this info came mentioned that a study carried out for the University of Surrey in 1998 has shown no significant difference in the incidence of cancer in communities close to Heathrow Airport.
