Knowing that there are some PR type folks here, and others who desperately
need, and may event want, insights into how the media work, I thought I
would pass on this link to a story that appears in the Melbourne Times.

If this wraps to take more than one line, you will have to glue it back

It tells the tale of how Simon Grose got banned from receiving advance
warning of material in Science because he broke an embargo. Then again, did
he? Or is it because they cannot tell the time in Washington DC?

And the cause of this kafuffle? An article about "a former ANU scientist,
now at Utah, in the latest effort to date the extinction of Australia's
megafauna".

Another example of American cultural imperialism and insensitivity to
foreigners? Or an Ozzie hoping that the yanks would ignore his little
indiscretion?
