Hi Debbie,
If I can say this with out sounding smug, I see it was meant to have anger and hate we are human beings, do you expect us not to have these emotions, and not to speak out when we see such injustices such as religion and what it has done and is doing to the world.

Do you think as poets we should some how be above that, above being human, I very much understand the pull towards religion, I was once there, when my eyes were opened and I saw religion as it really is, I could only feel hate and anger.

It is a difficult thing to state your case on this subject with out stepping on toes, but that's just the way it is, when you feel so strongly about something, you express it.

In my point of view the poem worked, it could use a few tucks her and there, it is certainly not stillborn.

Best

Rob

I see this more as an angry declaration. Its one thing not to believe
in someone or something, its another to be angry or hateful to
someone or something. I showed this to a friiend of mine and he
said and I quote "Yeouch!" We placed a bet that this was directed at
the Catholic Church or someone who belongs to the CC.
