Thanks, Mark: now I know what Dylan is referring to in _Blood on the Tracks_, where he sings "blood on your saddle" in "Idiot Wind" to my recollection. Must hear it! My contribution to the list is a song I wish I'd never heard as its refrain goes round in my head with the greatest of ease, "Puppet on a String" by Sandy Shaw. mj
