ESSENCE is sublime. I've always preferred both Emmylou Harris and Nancy Griffith to Lucinda Williams, but ESSENCE has won me over. Haunting lyrics and phrasing, and gorgeous production. I've been playing it for months. Anthony > Lucinda Williams's ESSENCE is the Blonde on Blonde of the > 21st century. I rather think it's a magnificent album (er, CD) too...
