Josephine, I think it's "verse" because it's broken into lines ("versus" being the lines a plow makes, if I remember rightly). This breaking represents a certain framing of sound, an emphasis... not lost (not lost upon the listener, curious, alert). (Try D.H.L. and W.W., and H.D.). (or P. C.) (or O.M.'s "Horseshoe- Finder")
