 dave,
     i'm sorry if i didn't communicate. i thought i was saying something,
and i wasn't aware it was bollocks. should i try to say it some other way?
but never mind.
what would you like to know about who i am and where i come from?
i'm a poet, i come from Auckland, New Zealand, i'm sixty two years old, i'm
a bit cold because its winter here. i am a teacher. i have a sense of humour
which has a way of getting lost in emails. i have a personal life which used
to enter my poetry but not much anymore. i am passionate about poetry. i
think poetry changes the world.

i am also interested in literary politics although i've not benefitted much.
This evening I'm going to listen to Leigh Davis, who gives the third in a
series seven of lecture/readings we (Leigh and myself) who have
organized, which we have called BAD LANGUAGE. Where Poetry Is. The first was
a wonderful reading by Juliana Spahr from Hawaii, and the second was by Ian
Wedde. will that do for now?
                 wystan

Okay, that is it.

You are on to what, Wystan?

Tell me who you are, where you come from. All I look for in this or any
other list is talk about something I care about passionately, that is
poetry. I know nothing about literary politics and most definitely am not
its beneficiary.

What does get me annoyed is that because of bollocks like your latest the
noise whiteouts communication. How about that for synaesthetic mixed
metaphor?

David
