not exactly 'contemporary' but you could look at Lorca if you want to see an example of the use of poetry, and indeed rhyme, in drama or at Mandy Precious' recent piece for the Manchester Poetry Festival, which used both blank verse and rhyme.... not published of course, but it was a risk-taking and interesting piece of work I dont think characters can speak in stanzas any more than 'people' can speak in 'sentences' what matters is the flow of rhythm and pattern ?
