The same Angel descended on her in his light blue bath
robe all embellished by golden garments around the
sleeves, and holding up his broom, said:
"If you stop writing to Poetretc, I will provide you
72 lovers monthly,
men and women, each in varied number, depending on our
stock availability and a beautiful garden where you
can play tig or hide-and-seek and all day long. "

She lifted her eyes and, staring at the holy
apparition, replied:
"Angel, don’t take me literally you too: it was
simply a late-Marxist post-modern neo-baroque
provocation…. Please, try to read between the lines ,
interpret my words. I was merely reflecting on the
fact that today we tend wanting to buy everything. "

And the Angel: “ Right! And if you are at least 40
years young and living in or visiting Europe, you can
enjoy special deals.”

So the Angel {Giovanni Tamarro, from the Left Phalange
of the First Platoon) continued: " “Imagine a world
where your time-earned wisdom and laugh lines are
rewarded with almost every purchase you make. Here and
all over the planet people are exercising their
individual benefits--why shouldn't you? This monthly
annunciation brings you the unexpected array of
discounts and good deals for women of your age, from
auto maintenance and attorneys to casino gambling
tours and factory outlet malls. It can be financially
rewarding to be chronologically gifted!”

She reflected a moment and whispered to herself: “ I
don’t have a clue what he is talking about.”

The Angel kept inspiring her: “You can and should be
taking advantage of these discounts every day whether
you're on a fixed income or just enjoy a good bargain!
You can also choose to increase to 90 our monthly
offer of lovers. The only think required is an upgrade
of your subscription”

“I don’t think I meant a real lover…you know, I was
merely metaphorizing...”

“Would you not even consider me? Imagine, you
unsubscribe Poetryetc, sign our contract, and get an
Angel free"

At which, she replied; "Well, in that case…"
