Chris Hayden replies: I am 101% positive that is not the kind of laundress
she was talking about--where is the imagery that one would asociate with
this--the steam the heat, the exhaustion, the dirty water the suffering, the
screaming boss, the low wages--the image is of a person joyfully doing one's
own laundry, not slaving in some infernal pit. By your reasoning "driver"
would always mean some drunk who piles behind the wheel and kills a family
of six on their way to prayer meetin'--"dog" would mean vicious, rabies
infected attack dog--you must view the context in which the word is used.

>"Doing the Vida Loca" is also a big smash. Smashness is value-neutral.

And I like that song too, as well as "Rondo Allo Turco" by Mozart and "All
Blues" by Miles and "Your Cheatin' Heart" by Hank Williams, etc

Take a chill pill, man! Get some enjoyment out of life and stop seeing
awful things lurking behind every corner and bush!
