For a corrective to the fundamentalists I would say read Hafiz.
He is truly a marvellous poet.

My father's best friend was Arab and many of my close friends
at UNiversity were Arab. And one of my favourite girlfriends
was Jewish and I am familiar with the lovely Jewish family life
on the South side of Glasgow. So I have some understanding
if the irreconcilables and no solution.
