BUCKINGHAMSHIRE CHILTERNS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE The Faculty of Leisure and Tourism at our Wellesbourne Campus in High Wycombe has the following opportunities: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Outdoor Education & Adventure Recreation £17,913 - £31,554 per annum Applications are invited from graduates with proven experience in and knowledge of the outdoor industry. You will be responsible for the day to day organisation of the programme within the Leisure Department and will contribute to theoretical and practical aspects of the degree. You will also be involved in student tutoring and in addition may be asked to deliver specialist modules on other programmes in the Department. The Outward Bound and other agencies are collaborating with the Faculty to provide practical industrial experience for students. The Faculty also has a strong research profile in outdoor adventure education, particularly in the field of social and cultural analysis. It is hoped that you will be able to contribute to this profile. You are expected to hold or be in the process of gaining an appropriate higher degree, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will also have proven technical ability in at least two adventurous activities. A good team player, your ability to take a central role in the development of the degree is desired.
