Occupational health services in higher education

Research staff II scale:  £23,256 - £30,967 (pay award pending)

Applications are invited for a research fellow to run a three-year HEFCE-funded national study to benchmark occupational health provision in UK universities and to evaluate interventions to improve provision.  Candidates from any discipline relevant to research on service provision, such as epidemiology, medicine, or health economics, are welcome, and they may be clinically or non-clinically qualified.  They should have a keen interest in policy issues relevant to occupational health.  The post will require prior research experience in such areas as interviewing, statistical analysis, database management and web publishing, together with the ability to promote and disseminate the aims of the project in person and in print.

The post is based at the University's Department of Public Health in the Institute of Health Sciences in Headington, Oxford, and is funded for three years.  It is hoped that the start date will be in early Autumn 2001.
