A postdoctoral position for an experimentalist is available in the Chemistry
Department at Harvard University working with Professor Dudley Herschbach on
chemical kinetics at high pressure (50 kbar range), followed by laser
spectroscopy in a diamond anvil cell. This experimental effort will be
strongly coupled to computational and simulation work to be conducted at LLNL
to understand the fundamentals of pressure-induced chemical reactivity.
Candidates with excellent background in laser spectroscopic methods (Raman/
IR) and chemical kinetics of condensed systems are encouraged to apply.
