Keith

I was interested by your comments about the name Monks (no this isn't a
family history enquirey he said factiously!!)

The name Boult-Monks appears in connection with Bristol coal mining
suggesting a link between the Boult family and the Monks family. Monks is a
name that appears in connection with the last workings of the Yate Colliery
(1887/8) - I can't recall without my file whether it is the owner or manager
but I will check.

It would be interesting to know if there is a connection.

Regards

David
