The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin announces

two postdoctoral fellowships 

for up to two years, beginning 1 October 2002. Projects related to the history of theory formation in the life sciences to the history of model organisms are particularly welcome.

Outstanding junior scholars (Ph.D. awarded no earlier than 1997) are invited to apply. Fellowships are endowed with a monthly stipend of 3.600 DM / euro  1.840,65 (fellows from abroad). Woman are especially encouraged to apply. Qualifications being equal, precedence will be given to candidates with disabilities.

Candidates are requested to send a curriculum vitae, publication list, research prospectus (maximum 1000 words), and two letters of recommendation no later than
