Call for Papers One-Day Postgraduate Conference Mental Illness and Accounts of the Mind Saturday 3rd March 2001 Department of Philosophy, University of Southampton, UK Keynote Speaker: Prof. Bill Fulford (University of Warwick) Guest Speaker: Prof. Steve Champlin (University of Hull) The purpose of this conference--the third in an annual series--is to promote philosophical discussion of issues about the nature of the mind, mental health and illness, and the concepts involved in psychology and psychiatry. We invite submissions of papers on mental illness, the philosophy of mind, philosophical psychology, and the philosophy of psychiatry and psychoanalysis. Analytically and continentally motivated submissions are equally welcome. Papers should be no more than twenty minutes long, and should be submitted prepared for blind assessment--i.e. with two title pages, only one of which should contain the author's name, contact details and academic affiliation.
