The Moray Council Museums Service will shortly have, for disposal, a
redundant item of display equipment consisting of the following:

A model of the 'Northern Hemisphere' approximately 1.5 metes in
diameter, showing the continents and oceans, with a curved clear
plastic cover. The unit is on a sloped free-standing metal support,
at a convenient viewing height. It is filled with a set of
fibre0optic light which are embedded in the matrix of the model, and
which were used with an electronic sequencer to indicate ocean
currents and water movement, although this aspect of the model is no
longer in full working condition.

If you would like any further information or may be interested in
negotiating to acquire the item, please contact me directly by phone
or off list. The item is currently located in a museum in Northeast
Scotland.
