The Scottish Cultural Resources Access Network (SCRAN) is pleased to
announce it has won the 2001 Silver Muse Award of the American Association
of Museums (AAM):
"In recognition of the Highest Standards of Excellence in the use of
Media and Technology for a Collections Database or Research Resource"

Now in its twelfth year, the Muse Award programme is operated by the AAM's
Media and Technology Professional Committee, and this year's awards were
announceded at a special ceremony at the AAM Saint Louis conference on
7 May 2001.

Although the scope of the Muse Awards is international, SCRAN is the
only Silver Muse winner in any category from outside North America.
Honourable mentions in other categories went to Tate Modern (Multimedia),
National Palace Museum, Taipei (DVD) and Museum Victoria, Melbourne
(Video).
