Dear Colleagues, Two brief questions, which I'm trying to answer in a hurry (deadline for me is 16.00, 1 May): 1. Does anyone have any figures for how many trainees it is reasonable to expect a library skills/biomedical database trainer to tackle in a year? I'm trying to establish an estimated target for a full-time post, but I can extrapolate from a part-timers experience. Context information would also be extremely useful. I've got one estimate of 500 trainee sessions per year, based on mixed primary/acute small group training in a rural area, but I suspect the target for an urban area, with less travel involved, could be higher. 2. Does anyone know of any project funded library skills/biomedical database trainer posts, other than the recently advertised Manchester LIS peripatetic post, the Manchester Deanery's Blackpool primary and community post, and the Trent Region Primary Care Knowledge Managers. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer. Yours aye, John S. Rule, Library and Information Services Manager, Library, PGEC, City Hospital, Hucknall Road, NOTTINGHAM.
