Electronic Library Projects Team (2 Posts)

We are seeking two further innovative individuals to join our Electronic 
Library Projects Team to provide support for the development and 
administration of electronic collections and services for our growing 
research and distance learning communities.

Virtual Research Environment Project Officer (Ref: VR01)
Salary £19,412 - £28,103 (incl. London Weighting)

The purpose of this project is to research, develop and test a model for an 
integrated web-based research environment to support the needs of the 
e-researcher. Experience of desk and literature-based research, preferably 
within a Higher Education environment and a high level of ICT Literacy 
including web-authoring skills are essential, whilst an interest in 
teaching and learning technologies is highly desirable.

This project is being led by the University Library on behalf of the 
University Libraries Committee. The appointment to this superannuable post 
will be made for an initial 12 month period.

Electronic Library Projects Assistant (Ref: EL02)
Salary £16,490 £21,938 (incl. London Weighting)

The purpose of this post is to provide assistance for the administration, 
maintenance and development of a number of leading edge Electronic Library 
Projects within the University Library. Experience of information and 
enquiry work in an academic library or equivalent including working with 
electronic resources and a high level of general ICT literacy including web 
authoring skills are essential. The appointment to this superannuable post 
will be made for an initial period until 31 July 2003.
