how do people acquire, diffuse and utilise knowledge on a personal level?

This workshop will be highly interactive and participative. Delegates will
take part in open group discussions, practical exercises and feedback
sessions in order to understand how they manage their personal knowledge.
Much of the focus of knowledge management has emphasised the structural
aspects of knowledge management - how data is transferred across the
organisation; how it can be measured and in particular the role that
technology (in particular intranets) plays in its diffusion. There is less
consideration about what happens at an individual level. Although knowledge
is often the most important asset in any company, managers are often stumped
on how to deal with something that cannot be quantified, let alone
universally defined. By using a new knowledge profile or k-profile, people
and companies can start to define and manage the personal capital that fuels
business success.
