UKOLN'S and ILRT's Services for Social Scientists
ASSIGN Study Day

ASSIGN (The Aslib Social Science Information Group and Network) invites you
to a special one day conference focusing upon new Internet services offered
by two of the UK's leading organisations: UKOLN and ILRT
* UKOLN (UK Office for Library and Information Networking )

will provide updates on their latest programmes: including hybrid
library initiatives, developments at ARIADNE and the RENARDUS information
gateways programme..
* ILRT - (Institute of Learning and Resource Technology)
http://www.ilrt.bris.ac.uk/ University of Bristol will provide information
on their latest work. They currently support over 48 projects and services
including SOSIG (The Social Science Information Gateway), Regard and many
other digital library research initiatives.
* There will also be an opportunity to tour the University of Bath
library and hear about their latest developments in staff training.
The cost for ASSIGN members is £10.00
Non-members - £15.00
Overnight accommodation at the University of Bath can be supplied. Cost is
between £15-20 for basic university accommodation. Please enquire for
further information.
