Depository Library - Egham


A vacancy exists for a methodical and accurate individual to join the team 
based at the Depository Library at Egham.

You will prepare catalogue records for material held by the University 
Library.  Your duties will include the identification of items to be 
catalogued, and the creation of bibliographic and item records on the 
Library’s computer system (Innopac) according to prescribed standards.

The ability to work on your own initiative and good communication skills 
are essential.  Some experience of libraries and the use of automated 
library systems would be desirable but not essential, as would some 
familiarity with the MARC format and AACR2.  This superannuable post is for 
a fixed-term period of one year commencing after 1 August 2001.

Salary based pro-rata on  £14,174
(incl. London Allowance)
