BUSINESS INFORMATION SPECIALISTS

Are you a qualified Librarian or Information Scientist with a sound
knowledge of business resources and their applications for business?  We
are offering three posts for an initial period of three years, with the
strong possibility of renewal:

* 2 posts of: 62 hours per fortnight
* 1 post of:  10 hours per week

Based at the new University of Bath in Swindon, you will be responsible
for the start-up and successful delivery of business information to the
business, public, and academic communities in the Swindon area, through
the development of a new Business Information Resource.

The University of Bath and Swindon Borough Council Libraries will
jointly own the Library’s resources and work closely with Business Link
Berkshire & Wiltshire.  You will take responsibility for marketing,
promoting, and delivering the service. You should have a professional
commitment and a proactive approach to ensuring the service meets the
needs of its users.  You must be highly motivated and a good team worker
with excellent communication and presentation skills.  Over the
three-year period, the Library will become self-financing through
revenue generating initiatives that you will manage.

The Library will have a strong IT presence.  You will need to be
familiar with applications of information technology in libraries, with
a sound knowledge of business information sources, and a working
knowledge of HTML or other web development tools.

Salary will be either the range £16,775 - £18,731 (pro rata to 36.5 hour
week) per annum or the range £19,482 - £25,213 (pro rata) per annum,
according to experience and qualifications.
