A new chapter Do you like to keep ahead of the game? The British Library will be one of the earlier UK public bodies to introduce Electronic Records Management. Do you have the initiative, drive and knowledge to take a key role in this? Electronic Records Unit Manager £19,920 - £29,444 The Estates Directorate is introducing Electronic Records and Document Management (ERDM). This, potentially, will be rolled out to approximately 60 office staff during the coming months. The project is a pilot for introducing ERDM across the British Library to all staff using PCs, currently c.1500 of 2,500. It is anticipated that a software package (ERMS), approved by the Public Records Office (PRO), will be purchased in June or July 2001. A formally qualified Records Manager with proven strong IT capability is sought to lead the Estates ERMS Unit of one or two staff who will require training. The successful applicant will be able to provide evidence of personal qualities which will include enthusiasm, strong people and communication skills, ability to plan and work to timetable, initiative and pleasure in rising to a challenge.
