DESCRIPTION:
This 2-day seminar consists of lectures, structured lab exercises, and group
discussions.  Participants receive an overview of Web-based resource
description systems and detailed instruction in the Dublin Core metadata. As
a member of a small project team, participants design and implement a MARC-
or webserver-based resource description system using metadata records for a
real-world collection.  

Participants evaluate the resource description system in terms of design and
functionality, including data input, storage, retrieval, and display.
