Grade: Academic Related 3 , Salary £27,273 - £32,215

Healthcare Library Services delivered from:
The Cairns Library, which provides full library services to the clinical Departments of the Division of Medical Sciences at the University of Oxford and to a number of local healthcare organisations and Trusts under contract. There are branches in the three main teaching hospitals in Oxford: the Churchill, the John Radcliffe and the Radcliffe Infirmary. The Cairns has also recently taken over management of the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics library.

The Institute of Health Sciences Library and Information Centre, which is located in Headington, provides services to the Division of Public Health and Primary Care and to a range of NHS organisations, including Oxfordshire Health Authority, the Public Health Resources Unit and the UK Cochrane Centre. The Library specialises in public health, epidemiology and primary healthcare, providing information to meet the needs of learning and teaching, but primarily research.

We are currently working towards greater integration between the Cairns and the I H S Libraries

WE NEED:
· At least 3 years post-qualification experience including staff management, and automated library systems
· Knowledge of and experience in WEB-based resources and their delivery
· Working knowledge of health information resources
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Good team worker
· Motivated forward looking approach
· Ability to manage change to develop the service
