Would you like to gain valuable training and experience in a busy
research led University Library?
If so, we invite you to
apply for this post. You will receive training and experience
assisting with the provision of a wide range of user services.
These will include issue, return and renewal of books, handling user
enquiries and servicing the Closed Stacks. There will also be the
opportunity to undertake varied project work in other parts of the
Library including work in our Bibliographic and Periodicals Sections and
assistance with stock moves and reorganisation of space.
Full training will be given but previous experience of working with the
general public, including cash handling, is desirable. You should
possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have
competence with computers and keyboarding skills. This one-year
superannuable post would provide an excellent opportunity for someone who
wished to gain valuable practical experience in a library environment
before embarking on pre-library school studies.
Starting salary in the range £12,692 -
£14,535 (incl. L.A.)
