INFORMATION AUDITING AS A MANAGEMENT PROCESS
15 November, London

It is now widely recognised that information is a vital corporate resource,
and as a result of this many organisations now realise how important it is
to manage information effectively.

Information auditing, a process based on sound financial auditing
principles, can help your organisation to understand the role information
plays in achieving its business objectives, and to consider how available
information could be used to the best advantage.

BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING
This introductory day will explore the practical implications of carrying
out an information audit, and look at the key management issues involved.

By the end of the event participants will have:
* set information auditing within a broader context of managing information
as a corporate resource
* considered information auditing as a management process
* examined some of the practical issues that arise in implementing
information auditing programmes
* reviewed and discussed how best to take these ideas forward within their
own organisation

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This workshop is aimed at business managers, senior librarians, and
information specialists who need to improve the management of information
