The salary for the post will be in the range of  RA 7 (£16,772) – RB4
(£19,423).  The post will be offered as two-year fixed term contract, full-
time equivalent.  The post is open to job share.


eVALUEd: developing an evaluation model for sustainable electronic library
developments

The Centre for Information Research (CIRT) is seeking to recruit a
researcher to a new project funded through the Higher Education Funding
Council for England (HEFCE) fund for Good Management Practice.  The eVALUEd
project aims to investigate evaluation approaches to electronic library
developments in the higher education sector.  The project will investigate
examples of good practice and issues surrounding the evaluation of
electronic libraries, the development and testing of suitable approaches to
electronic library evaluation and the production of a web-mounted
transferable model for electronic library evaluation.  The post holder will
be expected to work cohesively as part of a team alongside a researcher who
has responsibility for web developments and technical aspects of the
project, under the direction of the eVALUEd Project Director.

The post holder will conduct a wide range of research activities and be
responsible for the organisation of the fieldwork, literature collection,
project liaison, report writing, project dissemination and promotion.
