We are seeking 2 library professionals to join our team of subject staff based at the Rivermead Campus in Chelmsford. The subject librarians assist in supporting the library and information needs of the academic schools and are key players in delivering services within the campus library. Your main duties will include general enquiry-desk work, user education, collection development and participation in various library initiatives and projects. Good communication skills, commitment to high standards of customer care and the ability to work in a team are essential. Both posts would suit recently qualified librarians and APU has an approved Library Association chartership programme. Health Subject Librarian=09Ref: HSL In this challenging post you will work primarily with students and teaching staff in the areas of nursing, health and social work. You will be part of a team working within the university and in close collaboration with colleagues in the NHS. Experience or an interest in these fields would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite. Some evening and possibly weekend duties may be required. A knowledge or experience of children's literature and curriculum resources in a library setting and/or a desire to develop in this area will be an advantage.
