PRELIMINARY ANNOUNCEMENT In accordance with its mission to support, represent and promote the development needs of new, student and existing members of the Library and Information Profession, the Career Development Group is pleased to announce a one day seminar on eBooks and ePublishing. The seminar will take place at Library Association Headquarters, London on Wednesday 28th November 2001 between 10am and 4pm. Taking part in the day will be leading speakers in the field including: Louise Edwards, DNER Collections Manager, eBooks and Primary Research Data Suzanne Wilson - Higgins, Commercial Director, Lightning Source UK Ltd Christine Love-Rodgers, Assistant Librarian Learner Support, Open University Anthony Watkinson, Consultant, Visiting Professor in Information Science, City University and author of recent Resource Report on 'Electronic solutions to the Problems of Monograph Publishing'. Linda Vendryes, Vice President of Coutts Electronic Division Who should attend: Any member of the Library and Information Profession with an interest in the rapidly changing electronic age. Cost: £50 per person inclusive of VAT (£40 for Career Development Group Members). This includes registration, seminar materials, lunch and tea / coffee.
