National University of Ireland, Galway JAMES HARDIMAN LIBRARY Applications are invited for the following permanent appointment: Post of Assistant Librarian Information Services: Engineering and Science The person appointed will have responsibility for the provision of information services to the Faculties of Engineering and Science. S/He should have relevant work experience in an academic or special library. Experience in supporting information provision is essential, as is familiarity with the range of information sources, particularly in electronic format. Requirements • A degree plus a recognised qualification in Librarianship, Information Studies or Information Science. • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills • Excellent IT skills. Salary Scales (under review): Asst. Librarian 2: IR£21,648 – £26,835 p.a. Asst. Librarian 1: IR£25,718 - £30,821 p.a.
